Hello Dward,
We are aware of the need for foreign language support. I cannot say whether we will or will not offer foreign language support in the future. As for the reason why we do not have foreign language support yet, it is because our databases are all encoded in Ascii format where as needing the ability to use foreign language characters would need our servers to be encoded in UTF-8. Switching the code in which our servers are encoded in can prove to be a lengthy and difficult process,so we have been looking into other options for improving foreign language support in the future, we just have not found a suitable solution yet. Hopefully this explains things a bit better for you.

Hi Matt Hui,
Thanks for your replied.
Why your company not solve this problem,i suggest you support multiple language, you know ,in china, there was no company like aweber provide email marketiing service. please think about the marketing how big, don't miss the chance.
I think in other countries, more people like me want to aweber accept their native language.

Hello Dward,

Thank you for contacting the AWeber Customer Solutions Team!

At this point our system is not setup to handle foreign language characters that are in UTF-8 format, so for example your Chinese characters would be in the format that cannot be used in our service. So the official stance on our service is that we do not support foreign language characters because of how our database is encoded.

If you were able to get those characters to show up in the body of the message using unicode then that is great, but that is not something we necessarily support. So if you are unable to get it to work in the subject line there is little input we would have to get that to work since we are not setup to support foreign language characters by default.
